Master

Cartography is a Master of Science Programme in cooperation with four universities in Munich, Vienna, Dresden and Twente. It focuses on a broad education in cartography and geoinformatics. The content of the program focuses chiefly on methods and applications in the areas of data modelling, data analysis and the visualisation of geographical information. The qualification of Master in Cartography opens up excellent professional opportunities on national and international levels, both in the private sector and in administration or research. 

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 290.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Union fee 87.50 EUR, Student Council and Student Representation fee 7.60 EUR and Semester Ticket fee 195.20 EUR

Native English speaker and English language degree holders are exempted from providing proof of language proficiency

Technische Universität Dresden

The aim of the Cognitive Science Master program is to impart in-depth research-oriented cognitive science knowledge. These are created in the competence network of social sciences and computer science as well as biology and neurosciences. Competence network means the interlocking of relevant competencies of the individual disciplines involved with an orientation towards people, technology, economy, organization, communication and behavior.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Master programme in Geoinformatics  is aimed at providing and facilitating the development of Advanced methodological and computational skills. With the skills received from the programme, students will have the knowledge to obtain jobs in the public and private sector, consultant agencies, insurance companies and more.

Geoinformatics

Trier University

The Bachelor programme in Ecosystem Sciences mediates the necessary basis for research and understanding complex ecosystems. It is research-oriented and focuses on practical training in scientific methods, field and laboratory work, and data analysis and modelling. Students will get a solid grounding in practical skills like experimental design and scientific presentation. Also, the program supports students in developing critical thinking, systematic problem-solving, and other transferable skills. The program is taught by lecturers from the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology, who have extensive experience and expertise in innovative research as well as modern methods in environmental sciences.

Ecosystem Sciences

University of Göttingen

The Master of Science in Physics is a research-oriented study program. In the first year, the studies comprise required classes in the areas of experimental physics and theoretical physics, as well as required modules that may come from other areas, preferably from the natural-sciences/technical department. The second year is a dedicated research phase that takes place in a research group at the department.

The American Studies Bachelor programme focuses on the literature, culture and history of the USA. In literary texts and non-literary cultural productions and media (such as film) as well as historical sources are analyzed and discussed in their diverse contemporary and historical dimensions of meaning. This opens up a view of different actors, milieus and institutions as well as cultural phases, social developments and historical and political decisions - from the colonial era to the 21st century. In the course of their studies, students acquire specialist knowledge of cross-cultural dimensions of American literature.

The Master program in Power Engineering focuses on deepening the scientific qualification acquired through a previous degree in terms of increasing technical complexity through the expansion of specialist knowledge and the practice of more specific technical methods. A particular goal of the Master degree program is to prepare the graduates for the global job market or research and development in an international context.
