Master

The Master degree program in Data Engineering and Analytics deals with innovative solutions for handling and analyzing very large amounts of data. The program steps up to developments and provides an education that on the one hand enables graduates to design and plan industry grade solutions in the area of Big Data, on the other hand creates a solid starting point for ventures into research.

The language of instruction for this program is usually English. This means that most of the modules are offered in English. Some courses may, however, be taught in German

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Data engineering and Analytics

The Master degree program in Physics students acquire the necessary skills to become acquainted with current topics in physics, to design and conduct experiments or theoretical methods in this field, to categorize the results and to draw conclusions for application to technical developments and scientific progress. Career prospects include Basic or industry research, application-based development, technical and administrative planning, quality assurance, consulting, sales, teaching and management, in industry and at public authorities.

The Semester contributions totaling 290.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Union fee 87.50 EUR, Student Council and Student Representation fee 7.60 EUR and Semester Ticket fee 195.20 EUR

Master degree in mathematics is a scientific, research-oriented degree based on the Bachelor degree in mathematics builds on acquired knowledge. In particular, it is  assumed that two introduction lectures in the selected major have already been taken as part of the Bachelor degree and that the knowledge imparted in the Bachelor degree in mathematics.

Bachelor in Digital Games is divided into three specialization tracks: Game Arts, Game Design, and Game Programming. Program addresses students who are interested in focusing on the audiovisual side of the game development process. Students will be introduced to the creation of compelling art concepts and the overall dramaturgic use of art as part of an original game idea.

The Master program of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology focuses on modern aspects of the science and technology of nanoscopic systems, ranging from basic knowledge to applications and devices. It was designed to bridge the gap between nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The part related to nanoscience includes chemical preparation of nano-scale compounds and their characterization by physical methods, while the part related to nanotechnology is focused to devices, e.g. nano-electronics and photonic devices based on nano-scale structures.

The programme provides students with a profound foundation in innovative materials science (fibers, yarns, knitted, woven and non-woven fabrics, finishing chemicals) and modern processing technology (surface engineering, finishing). This know-how lays the foundation for mastering materials engineering requirements such as optimizing processes regarding the manufacturing and finishing of textiles, while considering technical, economic and ecological aspects. Career prospects include focus on technical textiles (e.g. fibre composites) and smart textiles, Sales and customer service (key account management), application technology in textile machine construction or chemical fibre production, Purchasing and sales in related industries and so on.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Master programme in Mathematics is a built on the Bachelor program. The main goals of the programme is to gain knowledge in mathematical methods and results, to gain the ability for discovering and analyzing structures, to learn about new subjects independently, to deepen knowledge in subjects of own choice, to get to the front of current research in a chosen area of mathematics, and to learn about practical techniques for solving complex problems. 

Program is offered in English. Participants are also welcome to attend courses and seminars that are offered in German. Students can choose to write the Masters thesis in English or in German
