The (Research) Master degree programme in Quantitative Economics (QE) is organized jointly by the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics and the Center for Mathematical Economics (IMW). Its quantitative analytical approach to economics provides the relevant skills to model and solve economic problems on an abstract level and to transfer the analytic solutions to real world applications. This encourages a flexible and creative approach to complex economic issues like those found typically in the real world.
Students can choose between two different tracks of the Master degree programme: The regular programme QE and the international track of QE. Both offer the same contents but the international track includes usually student exchanges at partner universities  because one of the two examiners of the Master thesis needs to be a member of the partner university.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The research-oriented international Master degree program in Biotechnology allows for a post-bachelor’s specialized training in cell biology  microbiology  bioanalytics and Laboratory Diagnostics. In addition to solid theoretical training incorporating the most up-to-date scientific knowledge  the Master degree programme offers an exceptionally high proportion of practical training in modern laboratory methods. Within small project groups students learn to carry out scientific experiments and how to document and present them. The programme is internationally oriented and all courses are given in English. After their Master thesis  which is carried out in national and international research institutions or enterprises  students are qualified to pursue doctoral studies.

Applicants with a German higher education degree have to apply via BTU's Online Application Portal.
International applicants have to apply via uni-assist. Uni-assist verifies applications on their credentials – it does not grant admissions. If the verification of uni-assist is successful  the application is forwarded to BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg where we evaluate the application with regards to the admission to our programme. A submission of application documents directly to the university is not possible.

German language skills are not required for the application.
Applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Great Britain including Northern Ireland or the United States of American do not have to submit a separate proof of English language skills

The Master in Accounting and Finance features an integrated analytical approach to graduate education in fields of accounting and finance by combining analytical skills in financial risk management with professional knowledge in internal and external accounting. Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) (German: Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten) is a public university in the city of Weingarten, in the southern part of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The university was founded in 1962. Applied Physics and Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Automotive and Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business & Technology Management, as well as Social Work and Healthcare Management, are among the advanced fields that the university tracks. 
 
 Today, Ravensburg-Weingarten University offers 35[2] undergraduate and graduate degree programs in German and English in four faculties: The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Technology and Management and the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing.
