Public Art and New Artistic Strategies

The course includes lectures on more general approaches to integrated urban development and urban sustainability  but also takes a closer look at urban resilience in the context of climate-sensitive planning by analysing urban heat islands and different buildings typologies and urban patterns. Part of the programme is GIS training and application in order to map such heat islands of informal and formal housing areas  using a practical  illustrative case study. Based on these findings  you will get the chance to create practical design solutions that respond to urban heat in the physical  cultural  and social context.

The Media Architecture study programme offers in the first instance a well-grounded further education qualification for contemporary media- and architecture-related vocations. At the same time it provides a place of experimentation  a kind of laboratory or meeting place for areas of joint research and new fields of work whose forms of expression transcend disciplinary boundaries. The core element of the study programme is the project module which  through intensive ongoing supervision and experimental exploration  provides an opportunity to develop exemplary responses to issues that are currently unresolved. The Master (MA) degree in Tourism and Sustainable Management (TSM) at the CBS is a joint programme conceived by the Department of International Tourism Management (ITM) and the Center for Advanced Sustainable Management (CASM) to explore the complexities of putting tourism business development alongside sustainable growth. By incorporating both teaching and research, TSM strives to incorporate current trends and issues, alongside discussions around this current thematic and endeavours to develop new conceptual frameworks collectively.

The Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology teaches students the skills for handling complex new challenges in hard and software design and development, either for electronic and telecommunication systems or for automation technology, based on the respective major or focus involved.
The Master program enables Bachelor graduates to widen and reinforce their expertise with theoretical and application-oriented training, in order to meet the demands of modern development particularly in high-tech sectors. This program builds on Advanced technical knowledge of electrical engineering as well as methodological and personal skills, gained through the Bachelor degree.

The fascinating world of Artificial intelligence involves programming computer-controlled machines to independently make decisions and perform tasks usually conducted by humans. As an AI student, you will acquire the expert knowledge required to build AI systems initially in foundation topics such as mathematics, programming, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, networks and databases. Later on in the course, you will study complex AI such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, Big Data, Deep Learning, autonomous robotics and computational logic.Customize your degree through individually selected elective courses that allow you to focus on particular subjects, depending on your interest areas in AI and Its’ applications.



All lectures and exams are conducted in English, therefore fluent.English skills are crucial.

Artificial Intelligence (Hybrid)

The english degree course Health Informatics educates students to become computer scientists in the health industry. Informatics-based, medical, scientific and technical knowledge in healthcare and in the healthcare industry are influential in management. A special focus within the first four semester is on the learning of programming languages. This course provides knowledge and skills to design information systems for the healthcare sector and throughout the healthcare industry to develop, configure, operate, and comply with the applicable rules and regulations. 



B1 language level must be completed by the end of the studies, either by passing the German course B1/ part 3+4 at DIT or proven by a certificate

Health Informatics

European Master in Project Management is a consecutive application-oriented degree program. Completing the degree program European Master in Project Management –EuroMPM leads to a highly qualifying degree, both academically and professionally. It prepares for senior managerial work in projects in companies, associations or authorities and teaches students the required skills, abilities and methods. In order to meet the demands and changes of the professional world, teaching of the contents of the individual modules is application-oriented and based on academic findings.

Note: Semester abroad or internship semester is compulsory if you choose 4 semesters.

Semester contribution includes semester ticket NRW 58,50 EUR, semester ticket VRR 154,56 EUR, AstA contribution 13.00 EUR and Studierendenwerk 93.00 EUR

European Master in Project Management

The study course European Master in Project Management – EuroMPM – will lead to a university degree which is highly qualified academically and professionally. It prepares for projects in higher management in industry, organizations and public administrations. The students will learn skills and methods to achieve these objectives. The modules will be taught and applied on the basis of scientific development in order to enable the students to adjust to the requirements and changes of business life. The students will thus be able to analyze procedures and problems in application, to work on professional solutions and to observe non-professional requirements. It is our aim to teach students to gain professional and methodical knowledge as well as personal and social competence.
Students will be enabled to act with responsibility and reliability. The international dimension will be promoted by an optional semester or a short-term stays for block weeks abroad at one of the international partner universities.

The study program Master Digital Transformation qualifies you as a leading expert in digital transformation projects. The focus is the technical viewpoint – especially the process, methods and tools of software engineering and the development and application of digital systems. For the digital transformation the ability to work in cross-domain projects, to apply a system’s engineering approach, to involve users and stakeholders in the projects and to integrate results from different domains is required.

The Bachelor in Management (BSc) allows students to become experts in management science and learn how to make complex decisions. While exploring humanities, they practice how to deal with people and lead teams. Combined with hands-on projects, extensive group work, professional internships and a concluding thesis, the Bachelor in Management (BSc) will prepare you for the next steps in your career success, be it in postgraduate study or graduate work opportunities.

Some courses are taught in Spanish or French.

Second year direct admission: Sometimes students will find that the course or university chosen aren't right for them. If this applied to applicant, we can consider your application to transfer to Year 2 of our Bachelor in Management (BSc) programme if you meet our transfer criteria: To be eligible to transfer to Year 2 of the Bachelor in Management (BSc) programme, you must have been formerly admitted in a Bachelor in Management / Economics / Finance programme and should have been awarded 60 ECTS at the end of the first academic year.
