The Intercultural Conflict Management Master programme revolves around the premise that social conflicts materialize in the space of manifold interrelated social worlds. Accordingly  social conflicts never correspond with the space of one particular social world  but they represent an overarching continuum which stretches out over the space of several intermingled social worlds. For this reason  the programme is structured into four interrelated Area of studies which break down social conflicts from distinct but intertwined perspectives  in order to bring forward social actions aimed at the participatory resolution of conflicts: A “Social World and Power Relations”  B “Research  Action  and Networking”  C “Specialization Seminars and Workshops”  and D “Thesis and Colloquia”.These four Area of study are not to be conceptualized as accumulative elements  but they are inherently correlated and come about in parallel from the beginning up to the end of the programme.
The M.A. programme will be of most interest to individuals who are professionally active or have an academic interest in environments characterised by cultural diversity and conflict. These elements are frequently encountered in multi-ethnic contexts where competing group interests exist and where individuals have regulatory/control responsibilities requiring additional intercultural competence and mediation abilities.

The Bachelor degree Nautical Sciences/Transport Operations is offered in a cooperation between the University of Wismar and the PoliMARIN Semarang/Indonesia. The course content enables you to work in the field of maritime logistics. Areas of application include route planning, disposition or activities in the claims department. The primary area of ​​application for graduates is ship management and nautical and cargo-related ship operations on modern container and ferry ships, tankers and special ships. As a graduate of this course, students will be able to take up duties as a navigational watch officer on board merchant ships immediately after completing studies. Graduates of the Nautical Sciences/ Transport Operations course are awarded a so-called double degree from both the University of Applied Sciences Wismar and Its Surabaya.

The objective of the Bachelor degree programme in American Studies is to provide students with basic knowledge of North American from the early colonial period through the 21st century, including Its politics, literature, culture, geography, history, and society, as well as Its ethnic diversity and religious influences. Graduates of the Bachelor degree program in American Studies will have gained the skills necessary to grasp and precisely describe the topics covered within the disciplines that make up American Studies, as well as to explain the relevant terminology and primary research issues of the individual disciplines, and to develop American-related research topics.

Heidelberg University

A non-specialized Master degree is the solution for Bachelor graduates who want to acquire specific business expertise with a Master degree. With our Master of International Business, you can obtain a Master degree in business administration with any first degree in order to broaden your professional perspectives. Prior knowledge of business administration is not necessary.

Students from EU and EWR have to pay an enrollment fee of 600 EUR and Non-EU-students have to pay 1500 EUR

English language proficiency can also be proven as follows:  Cambridge (FCE) test score or a degree in English Studies or at least 30 ECTS in an English-language higher education program or a native speaker (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

International School of Management (ISM)

The Bachelor of Arts with American studies learn the theoretical fundamentals of the subject as well as practical language skills and intercultural competence. This program intended for students with a wide-ranging interest in the languages, the literature, the cultures, and the history of North American.  American Studies is interdisciplinary and includes literature, culture, history, social policy, and politics. The programme consists of a core with 9 modules and a minor with 10 modules as part of programme structure.

The German-French integrated Master degree in teaching in secondary education is primarily aimed at graduates of the integrated teaching Bachelor program in Mainz-Dijon. It builds on the achievements made in the Bachelor degree and thus makes it possible to maintain the binational orientation of the course. After completing the M.Ed. Mainz-Dijon choose whether to complete the practical school training nationally or complete the training binationally in the German-French preparatory service. 

Master of Education / Master MEEF (binational)

The Master Programme in Turkic Studies is offered in collaboration with Uppsala University in Sweden. It gives you a unique opportunity to pursue your studies at two different universities in two different countries and graduate from both. The programme is designed for students with a strong interest in acquiring an Advanced knowledge of Turkic linguistics, philology and literary studies. The Master Program is designed as a consecutive program that comprises the fields of literary and cultural history, literary and cultural theory, as well as in depth studies of questions of identity formation and "American Identities". The program's center of attention lies on cultural diversity, both as a theoretical question and a social reality, focusing particularly on gender and ethnicity. Furthermore it engages in discussions of media, both in their history and in their present formation, and the consequences of media revolutions in North American.
