The international Master World Heritage Studies provides the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to identify  protect  manage and present cultural and natural heritage sites. Students are encouraged to question how the World Heritage concept is understood and how it works around the world. The program combines theory and practice involving various academic disciplines such as humanities  architecture  ecology  management  tourism  marketing and others. It thus emphasizes the connection between culture and nature  tangible and intangible cultural heritage  as well as conservation and sustainable development.The program recognizes that heritage can and should be protected from a variety of perspectives and in contemporary contexts. To this end  the program focuses on the critical examination of current challenges  such as demographic changes  ecological fragility and economic inequalities. Students will develop the skills they need to work successfully in professional cultural and natural heritage contexts to further Advanced the definition and recontextualization of the World Heritage concept.

The language of instruction and examination in the World Heritage Studies Master program is English.

All applicants with a German Master degree can apply directly in the myBTU portal for their desired course. This also applied to students who are or were already enrolled at one of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg locations and would like to apply for a Master degree or a change of degree.
Students who obtained their last entrance qualification abroad and would like to apply for a Master degree should apply via the My assist Applicants portal .

Applicants with a higher education entrance qualification from Australia  Canada  Ireland  New Zealand  Great Britain incl. Northern Ireland or the United States of American do not have to submit a separate proof of English language skills

The ESB Business School (formerly ESB Reutlingen) is the business school of Reutlingen University, which was founded in 1971 and is located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Since 2008, the school has been in charge of all business and production management degree programs at the university. The Hertie School (until 2019 Hertie School of Governance) is a private, independent graduate school of governance (public policy, international affairs, and data science) in Berlin's Friedrichstraße. It is a public policy school that offers master's and doctoral degrees. Half of the Hertie School's students are international, with alumni and current students from more than 95 countries represented. Both academics and campus life are well accessible with English language. 
 
 The Hertie School's research focus, which has been in place since its inception, is on the conditions, structures, and dynamics of governance. The school had a total of 687 students enrolled as of September 2020. There are 539 master's students, 51 Executive MPA participants, and 63 doctoral students among them. There are more than 2,100 alumni. 
 
 Students at Hertie School typically come from backgrounds in law, economics, political science, and international relations, and they pursue a Master of Public Policy, Master of International Affairs, or Master of Data Science for Public Policy degree. Students at the school can complete a "professional year" at a multinational corporation, government ministry, or international organization. The University of Applied Sciences Cologne [Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln (RFH)] is a privately run, nationally recognized university of applied sciences. The RFH is classified as a non-state university by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and is listed as a state-recognized university and is subject to its supervision. A course of study at Rheinische Fachhochschule is characterised by seminar-based instruction in groups of no more than 50 students; compact, short courses of study; and application-oriented teaching.
 
 The RFH offers around 6,500 enrolled students 20 bachelor's and 20 master's courses in the fields of "technology", "economy", "law", "health", "consumption", "communication", "security" and "design" in the four departments engineering, economics and law , medical economics and media and uses face-to-face teaching as well as digital learning and media formats.
