Course Details

Master in Advanced Safety Sciences for Medicines provides students with insights into aspects of drug safety involved in their professional day-to-day practice and relates to all phases of drug research and development. Students will especially concentrate on the interdisciplinary relationships of safety assessments coming from the various sub-disciplines involved, ranging from the search for active ingredients through the preclinical and clinical testing phases to drug production. The integration of toxicological data from active pharmaceutical ingredient development and the preclinical and clinical phases up to the application on humans are other areas of focus.

The Semester contributions totaling 179 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administrative fee 70 EUR, Student services fee 95 EUR and Student body fee 14 EUR

The total costs for the Master study program will be the sum of the individual course fees (2,500 EUR) plus the fee for the Master module (1,750 EUR). Special course fees is offered for participants from companies, regulatory authorities and academic institutions.Additionally a discount of up to 50 percent is offered for early decisions for the complete Master program

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes first degree in a subject that is relevant for drug safety, and who can show that they have one year of appropriate professional experience.

The following completed degrees are recognised: Bachelor degree after 4 years of studies (at least 240 ECTS credits), state examination, or Master degree.
