Master

The Master program provides the in-depth knowledge required for a more research-oriented professional activity in epidemiological fields, as well as the skills to develop and communicate scientific results. Epidemiology examines the distribution and influencing factors of health-related conditions and events in the population and applied the knowledge gained to control health problems. The aim of the Epidemiology Master program is to safely analyze health challenges at national and international level, to plan and conduct studies and to implement their results.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 337.39 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 226.14 EUR, Student union fee 94.00 EUR, Constituted student body fee 13.10 EUR, Student sports committee general university sports fee 1.60 EUR and Student aid fund  AStA (General Student Committee) fee 2.55 EUR

Degree in an English-language course or ESOL, CAE, CPE can also be used as proof of language proficiency

Epidemiology (Consecutive)

The Master of Science in Digital Health is a program jointly founded by the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) and the University of Potsdam (UP). During their studies, students acquire the skills to analyze, design and implement complex and secure IT systems and infrastructures in the healthcare field. They further deal with ethical and legal issues of relevance in the conception of health systems. Master graduates can apply their interdisciplinary skills to leadership roles in research or industry in a variety of ways. 

The Semester contributions totaling 316.00 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Service fee 50.00 EUR, Student body fee 15.00 EUR Enrollment and re-registration fee 51.00 EUR and Semester ticket fee 200.00 EUR

Accepted proof of English language proficiency include UNIcert III or IV, degree certificate for the completion of an English-language degree program, College English Test (CET): CET-6 with at least 550 points

Digital Health

The Master degree program in Physics students acquire the necessary skills to become acquainted with current topics in physics, to design and conduct experiments or theoretical methods in this field, to categorize the results and to draw conclusions for application to technical developments and scientific progress. Career prospects include Basic or industry research, application-based development, technical and administrative planning, quality assurance, consulting, sales, teaching and management, in industry and at public authorities.

Master in Molecular Plant Sciences focuses on how molecular biological methods are managed and applied in the field of biology, a topic that repeatedly features in wider debates within society. The program emphasizes accuracy and correct scientific procedure in the derivation, formulation, and testing of hypotheses. Students also explore the socio-economic context of molecular biology, which enables them to critically examine and Advanced developments in the field.

Molecular Plant Science

Master of Science in Computational Linguistics is designed to provide more in-depth skills in specialized subjects in the area of text and speech processing. The program is offered by the Institute for Natural Language Processing (IMS), a small institute which allows students to work closely with Its researchers.

The Semester contributions totalling 214.70 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Administrative fee 70.00 EUR, Student Services fee and VVS-StudiTicket solidarity fee 134.70 EUR and Student body fee 10.00 EUR

Computational Linguistics

The Master program in American Studies offers comprehensive training in the methods and theories of the discipline as well as multifaceted knowledge and insights into the literatures, cultures, history, and society of the United States. The wide variety of courses in the program ranges from those on America’s colonial past and early literary and political culture to those covering contemporary themes in race, class, gender, ethnic, and regional studies.

The Semester contributions totalling 158.30 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Services Student union Tübingen-Hohenheim AöR fee 84.80 EUR, Administration fee 70.00 EUR and Student union fee 3.50 EUR

American Studies

University of Tübingen

The Master program is research-oriented and comparable in time and orientation to the previous program in physics. In the course of the Master program, students acquire the ability to work independently on scientific issues. This ability is of fundamental importance, both for a later doctorate and for a successful activity as a physicist outside research in later professional life.

Two subject Bachelor programme in English and American Studies in combination with the Master of Education constitutes a modular degree programme in the course of which students have the option to decide whether they wish to continue their studies to become teachers after completing their Bachelor of Arts degree.

Applicants having degrees obtained in the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa are exempt from proving language proficiency

The unique Master study programme will give students all the tools necessary for becoming an information technology Master. The program teaches students to Help teams and companies adopt innovative digital business tools and operations, and combine strong information technology knowledge with wider business insights and people management skills. Unlike an IT Master programme, this degree focuses on giving students the tools to mediate between bigger picture business planning and the more technical aspects of owning an IT infrastructure. The study program is offered as either a 120 ECTS degree, for students with a BA in Business Administration or Economics; or as a 60 ECTS degree, for students of all backgrounds who already have professional experience of working in IT. Career prospects include IT Manager, IT Security Manager, IT Project Manager and so on.

Software Development (Hybrid)

This is a joint  international Bachelor degree programme offered by the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Engineering Physics program provides you with skills and experience to develop new technologies and interdisciplinary engineering projects. Apart from profound basics in natural sciences, the students acquire practice-oriented skills from engineering and applied computer sciences. In this versatile study program the students learn how to solve problems scientifically and thus are prepared to meet the needs of future development and advances in technology.
The second year of the program takes place at one of our partner universities (USST Shanghai, China, University of Twente, Netherlands and University of Winnipeg, Netherland) where classes are taught in English. Students will focus on Analog Circuits, Physics, Mathematics, Software Design, Signals and Systems there.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.
