Course Details

Master in Functional Safety Engineering helps students to learn how to use and implement the various safety standards such as IEC/EN 61508, IEC/EN 61511, IEC 61131, and ISO 26262 in industry and science. The necessary methodological equipment for this is acquired from various study modules, e.g. Mathematical Models for Safety Systems, Theory of Safety-related Computer Architectures and Safety Standards and Norms of Electronic Systems. This offers excellent job prospects for the graduates in industry and science.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor degree or Diploma-I examination in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or mathematics.

Applicants should have a normal university course lasting at least 7 semesters and a minimum cumulative grade of good or upper second-class honours or an equivalent to 2.5 according to the German grading system.
