Bucerius Law School’s English-taught Master of Law and Business (LL.M. / MLB) prepares young professionals for international careers in which an understanding of both legal and business concepts as well as intercultural skills are essential.

The Master of Law and Business is an interdisciplinary and international program which welcomes students from a multitude of academic and cultural backgrounds. Geared primarily towards young professionals in the legal and business fields  it is also open to graduates of other disciplines with a demonstrated interest in the disciplines of law and business.

Students are admitted on a rolling admission basis and admission is offered on a space-available basis.

We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible  especially if you are planning to apply for a scholarship or if you need a visa to study in Germany.

You will usually be informed of the outcome of your application within a few weeks. After submitting your application  you may be asked to schedule a Zoom interview.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Students should pay mandatory fee of 550.00 EUR for the semester ticket for public transportation in Hamburg

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

If English is your native language or you earned a university degree exclusively taught in English you do not need to take an English proficiency test. If you have worked in an English speaking country or an organization whose language of communication was English for 12 months or more the English proficiency test requirement may be waived.
A strong command of the English language should also be demonstrated in the admission interview.

In this Master program  which uniquely combines the topics of logistics  transport and foreign trade and is based on a broad IT foundation  you will take advantage of this special location and will  among other things  maintain close contact with the globally unique House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM). You will reflect on course content in depth  incorporating current topics and research findings  and discuss them in a practice-oriented manner with logistics experts from renowned companies - not in frontal lectures  but for the most part in project work by and with companies.

This should, in turn inform the science-policy interface.The international Master course "Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy" is jointly offered by Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU), Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, and University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, School of Biology and Environmental Science.

Other evidence of proficiency in English may be accepted such as degree completed in English

The Master program in Process Safety and Environmental Engineering aims to educate experts for industry as well as for authorities, research organizations, and higher education. Graduates from the program are versed in the natural scientific fundamentals of technical processes, especially those related to safety and environment and think and act holistically in the assessment of safety and environmental concerns and their prevention and mitigation.

The Semester contributions totalling 129.90 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes student union fee 77.00 EUR, Semester ticket for the MVB fee 41.40 EUR and Student body contribution 11.50 EUR
