The international Master program Materials Chemistry and Mineralogy deals with a broad range of natural materials, with the spectrum of topics from practice and basic research spanning the entire range from raw material to end product. The profile focuses on natural and technically produced inorganic, non-metallic materials, and structural characterisation of volume and surface properties. The degree programme opens up numerous fields of activity for graduates in industrial sectors such as glass and ceramics, building materials and chemistry, waste disposal and landfill management, electronics, paper, paints, pharmaceuticals, steel and other material-related areas, and on the other hand in state and industrial institutions with laboratories for the analysis and characterisation of materials.
