The Master degree programme in Translational Medical Research  focuses on the transfer of knowledge derived from basic molecular and cellular research into new approaches for the diagnosis and therapy of disease, and on the translation of unmet clinical needs into basic research questions that can be addressed through experimentation. The importance of innovation and entrepreneurship for effective translation is also considered. Accordingly, the Master degree programme provides students in the interdisciplinary field of translational medical research with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in research at the frontiers between fundamental laboratory-based experimentation, clinical research and commercial exploitation.

Translational Medical Research

Master in Sustainability Management deals with a deep understanding of the background, methods and context of sustainability, both from a macro and a micro perspective. The modules allow you to understand the larger political, economic and social implications, conflicts and potential solutions to sustainability challenges. Eg: Climate change, renewable energy, sustainable consumption and production, biodiversity, global economic development, inequality and poverty, and democracy and human rights.

Sports Ethics and Integrity

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

The postgraduate course in British studies is an interdisciplinary teaching programme over 2 years. Having successfully completed the Certificate Phase during the first year, students receive a British Studies certificate. After successful completion of the entire course, students are awarded the degree M.A. British Studies. The Certificate Phase comprises about 30 weeks of teaching stretching over 2 semesters. The first semester (Core Programme) consists of a series of compulsory lectures and seminars. In the second semester (Options Programme) students can choose 3 out of 6 options (see course outline below). Students have to attend an average of at least 20 hours of classes per week. These may include suitable classes taught in other departments.

Evolution, Ecology and Systematics

 The Master program of Neuro science constantly works on educating a new generation of neuroscientists. With an exellent understanding of the molecular, cellular and systemic principles of neurobiology,  students acquire a deeper knowledge of neuron interaction, the dynamics of neuron-glia interaction, rules of information transfer in simple and complex circuits of single brain centers, interaction of different brain centers, and the function of the human brain. This educational concept of the Master Program in Neurosciences can be seen reflected in the curriculum.

Geophysics is a natural science at the interface of geosciences and physics. Medical Systems Engineering

The Master  programme in Visual Computing teaches students the fundamental principles, processes and applications of computer-assisted processing of visual information. Students will become acquainted with the theory and practice of image analysis and pattern recognition.
