Course Details

The aim of the Bachelor degree programme in Dance (BAdance) is the training and individual advancement of creative, expressive dancer personalities who possess a wide range of dance techniques in both the classical and contemporary fields and can apply their qualities with confidence. They have developed the ability to creatively shape artistic work processes and are able to reflect on themselves and the art form of dance in an interdisciplinary as well as in a historical and social context. In the course of their studies, students are encouraged and supported to develop social and political commitment, to contribute to groups in a self-confident and responsible manner and to positively shape group processes.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes university entrance qualification (Abitur). A missing university entrance qualification can be replaced by an outstanding artistic talent (at least 19 out of a possible 25 points in the aptitude test).

Sufficient oral and written knowledge of German or English is required for admission to the Bachelor degree programme in Dance. The physical aptitude for professional dance and the corresponding dancing and musical talent is determined in the aptitude test.
