The “English and American Studies” Master degree programme imparts the academic and professional knowledge and skills; In-depth knowledge of English and American literary and cultural history, English linguistics and language history, Advanced skills in academic literary analysis, competence in independent linguistic analysis of texts and text collections, In-depth knowledge concerning theoretical debate and the critical application of theoretical concepts to self-chosen research topics, skills for the audience-oriented presentation of one’s own findings, the ability to integrate knowledge and deal with complexity.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 103.80 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student union fee 60.00 EUR , Semester ticket 43.80 EUR

In the Master programme Applied Data Science and Analytics you will gain in-depth knowledge and an understanding of the complete data science process. You will learn how to apply mathematical, statistical, analytical, and machine learning/deep learning techniques to gain insights from large and often unstructured datasets. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Students are required to pay a one-time registration fee of 750 EUR at the beginning of the degree programme

Applicants can get exemption from proving English language proficiency by presenting a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter
