The Social Work as a Human Rights Profession is a research-oriented  partially internet-based program  combining the field of social work with human rights issues.Social work and human rights are frequently encountered when working with vulnerable groups such as children or migrants respectively when working on issues related to the right to health  to the social challenge of poverty  to social exclusion  to discrimination with regard to a person’s gender or to the complexity of racism.The main aim of the Social Work as a Human Rights Profession is the translation of the often very abstract and appellative human rights discourse into the theory and practice of social work.This objective is strongly linked to the development of a general professional self-conception based on the “triple mandate of social work”  meaning that the universally known “double mandate of social work” on behalf of the addressees and the society/providers is complemented by a third mandate on behalf of the profession.This consists of science-based theories of action  intervention as well as the principles of the profession’s code of ethics.

Master programme in Language and Communication Technologies offers students from around the world high-class academic training coupled with the opportunity to improve their foreign language skills and hone their intercultural competence by selecting subject-related and geographical areas of preference.
Students study at two of the participating universities within the consortium, which, in addition to Saarland University, includes universities in the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands and Spain. Students can combine modules from the fields of language technology, computational linguistics, theoretical linguistics and computer science in a way that reflects their own personal academic interests. Media Informatics

RWTH Aachen University

In cooperation with the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University and the Clinic for Dental Conservation, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry of Uniklinik  offers the postgraduate Master program M. Sc. Periodontology. This Master program aims at in-depth, professional specialization in the treatment of periodontal diseases. In the course, students acquire practical training in diagnostics, prevention and non-surgical treatment of periodontal diseases. In addition, students receive in-depth, practical training in operative procedures (periodontal surgery).
