The course program is based on literature and cultural studies, in which in-depth knowledge of the various manifestations of English-speaking societies in the respective literary, historical, political and cultural contexts is conveyed. The focus of the programme is on the cultural area of ​​the British Isles and on the countries shaped by Great Britain. An interdisciplinary module offers students the opportunity to explore the traditions and diversification of Anglophone literatures, cultures and languages ​​in a larger context. The aim is to supplement and expand the desired research perspective in specific areas of English studies with a broad and transdisciplinary range of teaching and research.

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 337.39 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Semester ticket fee 226.14 EUR, Student union fee 94.00 EUR, Constituted student body fee 13.10 EUR, Student sports committee general university sports fee 1.60 EUR and Student aid fund  AStA (General Student Committee) fee 2.55 EUR

The executive Master degree program European Film Business and Law LL.M. equips professionals and executives in film and TV with the necessary skills and tools to Master those challenges with competence, ensuring the sustainable development of their companies and an overall dynamic market growth. The program offers comprehensive insights into the European audiovisual and entertainment landscape from a business as well as a legal perspective. The option for Double degree  (LL.M. and MBA) is also possible.

Students have to pay an enrollment fee approximately 140 - 280 EUR per semester

UNIcert III, completion of an English-language study program, Cambridge CPE are accepted as proof of language proficiency

Jointly awarded by TUM and National University of Singapore (NUS), the program is conducted in Singapore and serves to be an enabling postgraduate course for specialist engineers for the pharmaceutical, as well as the fine and speciality chemical industries.

The Bachelor course of study for teaching English includes the areas of language practice, linguistics, literature and cultural studies (both English and American) and subject didactics. Linguistics deals with understanding the structures and developments of the English language, while literary and cultural studies deal with the critical examination of the literatures and cultures of the United Kingdom, Ireland, North American and other English-speaking countries. 

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Knowledge of Latin language and knowledge of a Romance foreign language is required at A2 level
