The Master of Science in International Food Business and Consumer Studies (IFBC) is a joint degree program of two German Universities: The University of Kassel in Witzenhausen (Organic Agricultural Sciences) and the University of Applied Sciences Fulda (Nutritional, Food and Consumer Sciences). The politics of food in society, involving manufacturers, retailers, consumers and health professionals, are complex and continually evolving. The Semester contributions totalling 309.65 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student union fee 85.00 EUR, Administration Fee 50.00 EUR, AStA - Student Council fee 14.00 EUR, Semesterticket fee 153.11 EUR, Hardship Fund fee 0.75 EUR, Notfonds fee 0.50 EUR, Bicycle Rental System fee 2.20 EUR and Culture Ticket fee 4.09 EUR
Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor of Science Degree with a minimum duration of six semesters (180 ECTS credits or equivalent), Grade B (2.5 according to the German grading system) or better in Agricultural Sciences, Nutritional or Food Science or related fields, i.e. Food Technology.
English native speakers are exempt from proving language proficiency
Applicants worked for minimum of one year in an organisation where the communication is English within the last two years prior to the application can submit international language certificate of level B2 according to the Common Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
Applicants from China, Vietnam and India need to submit APS certificate
