The Master program in Marine Biology addresses important concepts of marine biology and biological oceanography as well as the related disciplines of marine geosciences, physical oceanography, marine chemistry and marine geochemistry. Research interests can be individually pursued in research groups of the university and cooperating institutions, for example in ecological modeling, conservation and climate change, marine biodiversity, coastal ecology, marine molecular biology, fisheries biology, and aquaculture. Employment opportunities for Marine Biologists exist in research and development, in the fishing and aquaculture industry as well as in the environmental conservation and management sector at governmental agencies or within NGOs and IGOs.

Minimum entry requirement includes a university degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Oceanography, or other degree in an appropriately related field of study with 180 ECTS and Grade of 2.5 or equivalent.
University degree in English is accepted as proof of language requirement
