The Master program is part of the Max Planck School Matter to Life. This internationally oriented project comprises cooperating Master programs at three different university locations, supported by German research institutes by a network of renowned scientists. Matter to Life covers areas such as bio-nanotechnology and synthetic biology.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes a Bachelor of Science (e.g. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Molecular Biology, Physics) or a Bachelor of Engineering (e.g. in the subjects Bioengineering, Molecular Systems Engineering) or a completed a course of study in a related natural science or engineering discipline in at least six semesters.

Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure (includes admission interview).
