The English language Master program Modern China Studies focuses on phenomena and processes shaping China in the 20th and 21st centuries while at the same time taking into account the historical processes leading up to the these processes and phenomena. Seminars introduce students to central topics, methods and theories of Modern China Studies. Successful graduates of the program qualify for jobs relating to China in academia, foundations, journalism, (further) education and private enterprises.

The Semester contributions totaling 161.00 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Students union fee (SWFR) 84.00 EUR, Administrative fee 70.00 EUR and student council fee 7.00 EUR
Minimum entry requirements includes a Bachelor degree in the humanities or social sciences or in an equivalent degree programme of at least three years duration with grade of 2.5 (German scale).
