The Media Architecture study programme offers in the first instance a well-grounded further education qualification for contemporary media- and architecture-related vocations. At the same time it provides a place of experimentation  a kind of laboratory or meeting place for areas of joint research and new fields of work whose forms of expression transcend disciplinary boundaries. The core element of the study programme is the project module which  through intensive ongoing supervision and experimental exploration  provides an opportunity to develop exemplary responses to issues that are currently unresolved. As the student  you can determine the relative degree of theoretical or practical work in your project work according to your individual requirements. Coursework is conducted jointly in interdisciplinary project groups  giving you the chance to learn outside of disciplinary boundaries and to train your ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. The study course is open to new professions arising in the broad spectrum between architecture and new media.

The study programme is bilingual; The language of instruction is English. The degree programme must ensure that an adequate number of
courses are offered in English. With sufficient knowledge of German  students may also attend courses
taught in German. All academic activities  including all oral and written assignments and examinations  are
conducted or administered in English. Students are required to write and present their Master thesis in
English.

The Informatics for the Natural Sciences Master program extends theoretical and practical knowledge in informatics  combined with either one of the subjects of biology  chemistry  physics  or biotechnology. Hereby  the focus is on current methods and scientific results. Special attention is given to convey skills required to communicate with specialists in both fields.In addition  the students are increasingly instructed to work independently according to the scientific principles of natural scientific computer science.After completing the course  graduates should be able to work scientifically. Informatics for the Natural Sciences

In this research-oriented programme North American Studies Culture and Literature  students learn how to contextualize and evaluate US American  Canadian and Caribbean cultural phenomena  media products  and literary writing  from the colonial period to the present day. Basic modules provide historical frameworks and theoretical tools  and foster academic language skills. Integrated Advanced and focus modules offer a historical  survey and train students’ culturally specific analytical skills. Students develop and conduct their own research based on their critical understanding of both disciplinary and interdisciplinary contexts.

The University of Hildesheim, or Universität Hildesheim in German, is a public university that was established in Hildesheim in 1855. On the Marienburgerhöhe, just outside the town, are the major structures of the University of Hildesheim Foundation. The university's additional locations are dispersed around the entire city.
