Master in Advanced Methods in Particle Physics focus on experimental and theoretical particle physics. Methodologically, the program is based on three pillars, each of which is associated with one of the three universities. These are machine learning and statistical data analysis, instrumentation and detector physics as well as large-scale scientific computing and programming. 
The International Master of Advanced Methods in Particle Physics (IMAPP) is a joint degree program offered by the Uni­ver­sity of Bologna (Italy), the Uni­ver­sity of Clermont Auvergne (France) and TU Dort­mund Uni­ver­sity (Germany), and it is supported by internationally re­nowned partner in­sti­tu­tions.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 317.25 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self administration fee 6.00 EUR, Student self administration (student councils) fee 1.28 EUR, Student sports fee 0.51 EUR, Theater flat rate fee 1.50 EUR, Student ticket for public transport including additional services in North Rhine-Westphalia fee 213.06 EUR, ElDoradio university radio fee 0.25 EUR, MetropolRadRuhr bike sharing fee 1.50 EUR, City and State Library fee 0.15 EUR and Student union Contribution fee 93 EUR

Advanced Methods in Particle Physics

The Master program in Quantitative Data Science Methods explicitly aims to cover the full breadth of the field, ranging from fundamental skills in statistics and data handling to Advanced methods of modern data analysis using a variety of methods. Program is specifically targeted to enable graduates to take up responsible leading roles and emphasizes a scientific, research-oriented mindset based on independent thought, judgement and decision-making. 

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.
