The Erasmus Mundus Joint European Master in Environmental Studies - Cities and Sustainability (JEMES CiSu) is a unique 2-year programme offered jointly by the Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics and Institute of Wastewater Management and Water Protection (Technische Universität Hamburg, TUHH); the Department of Development and Planning (Aalborg Universitet, AAU); the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambiental (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB); and the Department of Environment and Planning (Universidade de Aveiro, UA). The specialisation Cities and Sustainability in the Master programme Urban, Energy and Environmental Planning is focusing on how to create stronger urban environments and qualities by using a more holistic, multidisciplinary and participatory approach, placing citizens at the centre, and creating benefits and life quality for the city’s inhabitants and users.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirement includes Bachelor in Urban, Energy and Environmental Planning or Geography at Aalborg University gives you direct access to the programme.

Other relevant Bachelor degrees could be within engineering, surveying science, biology or a corresponding education after specific assessment, e.g. within planning.

Students with other Bachelor degree are, upon application for the Master programme, evaluated individually and the relevance of the Bachelor degree is assessed through this process.
