The Advanced Materials Science and Engineering AMASE programme offers students not only a broad range of specialist subjects, but an excellent opportunity to train their foreign language skills and intercultural competence. Saarland University coordinates the international Master degree programme Joint European Master Programme in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering ‒ AMASE, which is run by a consortium of European universities in Saarbrücken, Nancy, Luleå and Barcelona, Leoben and Padua. Within the AMASE Master you do not only gain valuable knowledge in Materials Science and Engineering, you also learn two of the four most widespread European languages. Studies are held at two universities in the consortium. Students initially spend two semesters at their chosen first university and the third semester at other university of their choice. Note: Applicants should have very good language knowledge of the Entrance University and at least some basic knowledge of the language at the second university.
