Master

The Master program in Global Change Ecology is devoted to understanding and analyzing the most important and consequential environmental concern of the 21st century namely, Global Change. The elite study program combines expertise of the Universities of Bayreuth and Augsburg, with that of Bavarian research institutions, and economic, administrative and international organisations. The program aims to integrate students into current developments in the rapidly changing scientific field of global change research. 

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

The Semester contributions totaling 137.97 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Association of Student Services fee 72.00 EUR and Semester Ticket fee 65.97 EUR

Global Change Ecology

Extended Ecumenical Studies is an international and interdisciplinary degree program that aimed at students with different religious and cultural backgrounds. While the standard degree program Ecumenical Studies covers two semesters, students may also choose to deepen their studies even further within the four-semester degree program Extended Ecumenical Studies. Based on the assumption that activity in the ecumenical movement requires specialized historical and theological knowledge and on both degree programs international and interdisciplinary focus, the overall objective is to make a contribution to the current, continually growing inter-religious dialogue and the relationship between church and society.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

The Semester contributions totaling 320.11 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student self administration fee 12.00 EUR, Social services for student fee 0.75 EUR, Allowance for student council fee 1.50 EUR, Support fund for students fee 0.01 EUR, University Sports fee 0.85 EUR, Culture pass fee 3.00 EUR, Student transit passes fee 201.40 EUR, Special account for mobility fee 0.60 EUR and Contribution to the Student union fee fee 100.00 EUR

Following test results can serve as proof of English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)

Extended Ecumenical Studies

In the Remote Sensing, geoInformation and Visualization Master degree program, students will develop an Advanced understanding of remote sensing in theory and practice. The program will grant an overview of the broad range of available remote sensing technologies and data-processing methodologies. They will learn how to apply these technologies and methods to specific problems in scientific and applied scenarios. Future fields of work include positions in public administration, such as in municipal, regional and land use planning; natural disaster management and response, as well as  environmental monitoring; research in the university and in institutions outside universities. Diverse employment opportunities are also possible in the IT industry, for example in software development in the field of digital mapping; in the insurance and real estate industry; the construction industry; the transportation industry; and in the leisure and tourism sectors.

The Semester contributions totalling 316.00 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Service fee 50.00 EUR, Student body fee 15.00 EUR, Enrollment and re-registration fee 51.00 EUR and Semester ticket fee 200.00 EUR

Degree certificate and university entrance qualification obtained in English language, Cambridge CPE is accepted as proof of language proficiency

Remote Sensing, Geo Information and Visualization

The Bachelor study programme is designed to give students a complete understanding of business administration, computer science principles, and topics at the forefront of business development: data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and Industry 4.0. After students have completed a series of courses covering the fundamentals of digital business, they will have the opportunity to choose if they want to specialise in the business-oriented aspects, or the digital realm. Career prospects include Data Scientist, Digital consultant and so on.

Students may choose to study either the six-semester program with 210 ECTS or the seven-semester program with 240 ECTS.

The Master program in Management explores the realities of being an authentic leader in the 21st century, from making strategic decisions, managing people and performance and negotiating effectively, to operational and marketing management. Focusing on the development of critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills, this Master will give students the tools to be an effective leader and to adapt to future changes in business.

Management

The Master Empires and Transcontinental Spaces is an interdisciplinary course offered jointly by the subjects American Studies, Japanese Studies, Sinology, Modern History and Contemporary History, and Eastern European History. It builds on the goals of transnational history and global history, to overcome narrow national (state) perspectives and Eurocentrism, and promotes the dialogue between Area Studies with their expertise on individual regions of the world.

The Semester contributions totaling 117.50 EUR must be paid each semester. It includes Student Services fee and contribution for the semester ticket fee

Applicants should have knowledge of other modern foreign language at B2 level

Empires and Transcontinental Spaces

FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg

The aim of the Bachelor program in Electrical engineering and information technology is to prepare students for their professional careers as engineers in the areas that were previously occupied by graduates of the diploma courses in electrical engineering and information technology. The level of training provided in this program allows students entry into types of activity that are more likely to be assigned to the non-scientific field, in addition to the classic career start as an electrical engineer. This includes activities in service, testing, production, sales, project planning. The additional non-technical subjects are intended to promote the employability of the graduates, who will work in a team and whose products must also be economically competitive in international competition.

Semester contribution of 324.06 EUR must be paid each semester. It consist of Mobility contribution of 213.06 EUR, Social contribution for the student union of 95.00 EUR, and Student union fee of 16.00 EUR

The Master of Science in Business Information Systems offers an independent academic degree, which aims at scientific and Advanced professional qualifying contents and skills. The degree program focuses on demanding tasks at the operational levels as well as on the support and implementation of strategic planning of operational information and communication systems.
