The Master in Data Science will qualify students to analyse big data efficiently and to create systems/solutions for Machine Learning. Therefore they will be all set for future industrial demands. The focus areas of this Data Science Master are Urban Technologies and Intelligent Machines and is explicitly interdisciplinary constructed. After the basic knowledge of Data Science (as Computer Science and Statistics) students will be taught about a wide range of Machine Learning methods.

Most of the resources in the field of data science are in English and the MSc Programme will be taught exclusively in English.

Data Science

Berliner Hochschule für Technik

The Master of Arts degree in Sociology offers well-founded theoretical and methodological training and enables specialization opportunities in different areas. The overarching goal of the study program is to impart extensive theoretical and methodological knowledge to the students in the theory and method seminars as well as in all offered areas of general and special sociology. The special feature of the MA Sociology in Bielefeld is that the students are given maximum freedom of choice at the largest sociological institution in the country. In addition to an introduction and a final module  you can choose depending on your individual focus - and this during the course of your studies  not at the beginning.

The International Track is the English-language branch of the German-language Master programme. Accordingly  M.A. Sociology students can combine English- and German-language courses or complete the entire Master programme in English.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

Sociology International track

Bielefeld University

The program physics focus is on materials research related to semiconductor devices and functional materials. This comprises identification and characterization of new materials for future silicon-based nanotechnologies  the development and investigation of innovative semiconductor devices  as integrated sensors  on the basis of new physical concepts and/or materials as well as spectroscopic analysis of interfaces and nanostructures. Moreover  concepts for the integration of new devices into existing technology platforms (e.g. the development of integrated THz radiation sources) and questions regarding technical reliability are major issues of research at the institute of physics of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. These experimental and applied research topics are supplemented by strong activities in theoretical physics in the field of condensed matter theory and non-linear physics.

All applicants with a German higher education entrance qualification can apply directly to the myBTU portal for their desired course of study programme. This applied also for students who are or were already enrolled at one of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg locations and would like to apply for a Bachelor's study programme or a change of study programme.

The basic objective of the Logistics  MBA Master program of the Dresden International University is to strengthen the students' management competence and entrepreneurial initiative in order to be able to react adequately and professionally to logistical challenges in industry  trade and services. This includes comprehensive knowledge and skills in market-oriented planning  design  management and control of material  goods and information flows in value networks and their application. The Master of Science in Health Sciences provides participants with the scientific and practical skills to undertake research in the field of health sciences. As an interdisciplinary programme  the course trains students to interact with healthcare practitioners  policymakers  public administrators  healthcare funders  NGO staff  industry managers and diverse population groups in order to drive informed and evidence-based decision-making and promote equity in health and healthcare. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of research methods and their use in the fields of healthcare  disease prevention and health promotion  as well as experience in empirical  data-based research.

Lectures are held in English (only in exceptional cases in German). The research semester (third semester) will be undertaken in Germany and therefore requires very good German skills. The Master thesis will be written in English. In exceptional cases  it can be written in German.

The financial management focuses on the basic models of the capital market theory, financial institutions and financial instruments as well as the theory and practice of capital markets. This also includes the link between risk and return on money investments and forms the basis for further topics, such as corporate finance or strategic management in banking and finance. You will learn to navigate safely throughout these subjects. This is the ideal preparation for starting your career in the financial sector.

In order to commence your studies with us, you must first successfully complete our selection process. The interviews take place regularly and are carried out via Skype.
