The European Cultures and Society (EUCS) bachelor’s degree program focusing on European scholarship and research in the humanities  cultural studies and social sciences.

As a student in the EUCS program  you will acquire subject-specific and methodological skills in disciplines within the humanities  cultural studies and social sciences relevant to European Studies. You will also develop Advanced specialized knowledge of certain areas of European Studies  either from a cultural or social science perspective—the choice is yours.

A special feature of the program is Its project-based application of academic knowledge in the fields of research  journalism  art and scenography  or entrepreneurship  which prepares students for the practical challenges of their future careers.

Applicants to Europa-Universität Flensburg must complete two steps:

Internship is not mandatory, but is optional during studies. If possible, we recommend doing an internship.

Two interdisciplinary study units allow the treatment of specific application fields of cyber-physical systems as well as the topic of functional safety of software-based control and automation systems.

The program includes classes about the Theory and History of Ethnographic Film, Documentary Photography, Digital Anthropology, Camera, Sound, and Editing classes, Social Media Activism and Marketing, Qualitative Ethnographic Methods, Decolonization of the Image, Migration, Extremism and conflict Research, Virtual Environments and building in VR, Gender, feminist and queer theory, Environmental Anthropology, Climate Change and Visual Culture.

It is mandatory to do an internship. It is easier to find internship when it is mandatory. 3-6 months is most common.

 The university offers Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees . Goethe University is a university located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was founded in 1914 as a citizens' university, which means it was founded and funded by the wealthy and active liberal citizenry of Frankfurt. The original name was Universität Frankfurt am Main. In 1932, the university's name was extended in honour of one of the most famous native sons of Frankfurt, the poet, philosopher and writer/dramatist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The university currently has around 45,000 students, distributed across four major campuses within the city. The university celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014. 20 Nobel Prize winners have been affiliated with the university, including Max von Laue and Max Born.
 
 Goethe University is now one of Germany's top ten universities. Around 600 students began their studies in Frankfurt with the start of teaching in the winter semester of 1914/15. During the winter semester, Goethe University had over 37,000 students enrolled.
