The University of Applied Sciences htw saar offers over 55 Bachelor and Master programs in Business, Architecture & Civil Engineering, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Franco-German studies. Their study programs are designed to combine hands-on practical skills with a solid theoretical knowledge base.
The htw saar has approximately 6,000 students enrolled, with over 900 international students from 76 countries attending our classes. This is a significantly higher percentage of international students (16%) than the national average in Germany. To foster and promote regional development, the institution serves as a hub connecting academic research, businesses, institutions, and administrative bodies. They have so far established a network of over 300 industry partners.
They are now accelerating the development of new value chains by establishing networks and innovation clusters. As a result, they are a major player in the regional innovation sector, collaborating with industry partners to turn research findings into marketable products. Their Institute of Technology Transfer (FITT) currently works with approximately 80 businesses. They strive to educate and train young skilled graduates through degree programs and continuing education courses, producing qualified employees while also meeting regional needs. It assists international students who are required to complete an internship as part of their learning agreement.
htw saar has been conducting international research with industry partners from all over the world for over 25 years. Research is essential, and applied research and development are given special consideration. As a result, they encourage their students to take part in various R&D projects in order to gain a better understanding of German cutting-edge technology and innovation.
